Day 5 - hi ho hi ho, it's off to work we go...

Day 5 of 366

Yup, I went back to the office today.  And it was not easy.

Half way through I almost fell right to sleep.  And getting my brain back into gear....

No easy feat.  But I survived.  On my way home, I popped into my Printers.

And I spent the better part of the afternoon there ordering my new business cards and mini prints.

It was really such a joy seeing each piece come up and being reminded of the story of behind them.

Sharing some of that out loud, felt so deeply personal and so special.

It's wonderful working with people who just get it.

Feel so honoured to have experienced that.

Mini Canvases... what fun!

I prepared some Teabags ready for me as my supply from last year was actually finished.

Just in case you are wondering what I do...

* Brew my tea in boiling water.

* Squeeze out the water and place on a surface to dry.

* Once dry, slit open the back and empty out the tealeaves.

* Gesso the front of the TeaBag and leave to dry.

* Stack and now you have mini canvases ready and waiting.

Day 4 - Life as we know it....

Oh I'm loving these darker shadows and colors very much.

I had a uber busy today being back home, unpacking.  Mountains of washing.

Packaging up parcels and some work.  I also did the girls stationery shopping for the new school year.  And just like that life is back on.  I'm not complaining.

Cos I am a home body and I love being home.

It was a very early start to get this one out because we will be road-tripping for the better part of today!  Bye-bye Beautiful Butterfly, til we meet again!

Day 2 - packing up...

Day 2 of 366

I had to squeeze this one in, in amongst packing up my make-shift studio and our bags.  As well as trying to max out our last precious day here! I loved our time away... But I am also ready to get home.  I have lots to sort out for 2016 and that's always exciting!

We are leaving well rested and full of anticipation for the year ahead.

I can't believe it, really! I feel like I might be completely crazy!  But that being said, I'm feeling so focused - like I know where I'm off to and having an end vision has been a little game changer for me!  At the back end of 365 faces + 1 I'm feeling pretty excited!

Welcome to my new BlogPage especially created for this journey for 2016.  As I was embarking on my final month of #1faceaday I decided to do all my December faces on #teabags and I completely fell in love with my beloved #TeaBagGirls once again. December ended up being my absolute fav month of this whole project. Maybe because it felt cohesive to me.  I feel strange saying that... did it honestly take me the whole year to settle into the concept of #1FaceADay, where it flowed without inner resistance and where it felt completely part of my being.  That together with the fact that I was feeling quite emotional at the thought of giving up this sweet daily ritual.  The idea came to mind about continuing but this time, only on TeaBags because I was having so much fun with them!  It would be more cohesive and uniform than my faces/canvases this year. Plus it would be for the {soul} purpose of having an exhibition all said and done!  I am not going to lie... I am a little afraid, a little nervous and feeling like I'm a little crazy.  Because I actually do know what to expect.  Unlike last year, I'm going in with a plan and a vision and a goal! And that's pretty exciting!  Happy New Year... And here's to new beginnings and adventures! #taketwo
